Steam
Connect your Steam account and Anthology brings in the games you own, with the hours you've played on each, and keeps them up to date.
How it works
Sign in on Steam
You sign in on Steam’s own website. Anthology never sees your password and can’t change anything on your Steam account.
Choose what to bring in
Import everything or pick a few. Games go to Library, unsorted, so My List stays yours to plan.
It stays up to date
Hours refresh every day and new purchases show up in Library on their own, even when Anthology isn’t open.
Good to know
- What Anthology reads
- The games in your Steam library and the minutes you've played on each, in total and over the last two weeks. Nothing is ever posted to Steam.
- Your plans stay yours
- Statuses, ratings, notes and lists you've set are never changed by an import or a refresh.
- Steam privacy
- Steam only shares a library when your Profile and Game details are Public. Hours can be hidden separately in Steam Privacy Settings.
- Games that can’t be matched
- Each game is matched by its Steam store ID. A few (demos, tools, some re-releases) have no confident match; they're listed as skipped and you can add them from Search.
- Your play over time
- Steam only shares total hours, so from the day you connect, Anthology notes how much you play each day. That's what your trends are built from.
- Achievements
- Checked for games you've played, and again whenever their hours change. Each game page lists them with the date you unlocked them.
- Disconnecting
- Stops the updates. Imported games and their last saved hours stay in your collection.
